A workstation that doesn't look like a workstation. It is therefore well suited for remote work at home. The work can be done sitting or standing. At the end of the day, close the lids, so work matters stay out of sight and mind.
Remove stains immediately with a mild soap solution and a soft cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or tools that may damage the surface. Do not leave surfaces wet.
Colour changes:
Wooden parts will darken over time due to exposure to light as part of the natural ageing process of wood.
Other points to note:
Avoid exposing the desk to large temperature fluctuations. The straightness of the table when open can be adjusted by loosening and tightening the gas spring fixing screw at a different point.

In Finland, the delivery time for in-stock items is typically 5-12 business days.
For other countries, delivery usually takes 2-4 weeks.

Small items are delivered to the nearest pick-up point (Posti) or to 'curbside', according to your choice.
Larger furniture items are always delivered free of charge to 'curbside'.
Depending on your location, you may also select paid additional services at checkout, such as indoor delivery, unpacking, or recycling of an old similar item.

All items are always delivered free of charge to 'curbside'.
Receiving the delivery Always check the condition of the package and the product upon delivery. If you notice any transport damage, notify our customer service by email without delay and include clear photos of the damage. If your item was delivered to your home, please ask the delivery provider to note any visible damage on the shipment documents at the time of delivery.
Return & Exchanges conditions We offer a 90-day free return and exchange policy for all products ordered from our online store. We recommend keeping the original packaging during the trial period, as it makes returns easier and faster.
The product to be exchanged or returned must be intact. If the item has visible signs of damage (e.g. scratches, dents or tears), it cannot be accepted for return.
If you wish to return or exchange a product, please contact our customer service by email to receive detailed return instructions.
Please note: We are not responsible for damage caused by careless unpacking or misuse of the product.
Reklamations If your product has a defect, please contact us immediately by email. Attach clear photos of the product and the issue you have identified. Our first priority is to repair the defect or send a replacement part. If the issue cannot be resolved, we will replace the product with a new one.
If a product has a defect from the start but it is not reported immediately upon first use, we cannot process the claim.
That said, you can always contact our customer service once you noticed an issue, and we'll see what we can do together to resolve it.

Where the idea for Jat-ko workstation came from?
"Working remotely from home is here to stay. But nobody wants office furniture in their home. Sometimes it would be good to be able to work standing up, and it would be good to be able to hide work items when you're not working. This was a challenge for Tapio.

Designing the Jat-ko workstation
"I had in mind a granny's dresser with a folding lid that served as her desk. When the paperwork was done, the lid would be lifted up and the interior would be tidy again. So I set about developing the concept from that point of view, as it still seemed to work and solve the challenges that had been set. The end result was a modern grandmother's dresser that you can work on while sitting or standing."

Manufacturing the Jat-ko workstation
We have the workstation made by our contract manufacturer. The method is a combination of serial production and craftsmanship. Machines are needed to make the wooden parts, but the finishing is a collaboration between the human eye and hand. The wood material is carefully chosen to suit this workstation.
The workstation has been awarded the international GOOD DESIGN award. The international jury found that the desk combined beautiful design with versatility and practicality to make everyday life easier.
The GOOD DESIGN Award is the world's oldest and most prestigious design award, founded in 1950 by architects Eero Saarinen, Charles and Ray Eames and Edgar Kaufmann, Jr. and The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design. The purpose is to find and reward the best design from around the world every year. This coveted prize is awarded annually by an international jury appointed by the museum, which selects the award-winning products from among thousands of designers and brands in different product categories.
Every year, the museum prints a book and organizes an exhibition of the award-winning products.
