Description

Day&Night is a wooden sofa bed that makes hosting guests easy. During the day, it provides a relaxed seating area and can be quickly transformed into a spacious double bed (180 x 200 cm) or two single beds (2 x 90 x 200 cm).

The Day&Night sofa bed has no heavy iron mechanisms, making it easy to use and move. The oak frame adds warmth to the interior and will stand the test of time in terms of both appearance and durability.

The visco-elastic mattresses adapt to the sleeper's body, providing a comfortable night's sleep. The cushions and mattress covers are removable and machine washable, making the sofa easy to maintain and clean.

Bedding is included in the price and is conveniently stored inside the back cushions: four pillows, two blankets and two mattress toppers. This means that everything you need to host guests is always easily accessible, while saving storage space in your home for other uses. Take a look at the folding instructions, how to insert the bedding back inside the pillows.

Armrests are available separately and can be attached to both or just one end - depending on the situation and space.

Quest bed for a tiny room
An excellent ensemble. We had a young couble visiting and they were the first quest using our new bed. We asked for points in the morning, we gor 8 out of 5. In the morning they got up after a good night sleep. The lady said it was LUXURY, wonderfully wide bed and excellent mattresses. The man said he closed his eyes in the evening and opened them up i the morning, so the bed had to be REALLY good, because he did not wake up once during the night (a hockey player).

Where the idea for Day&Night sofa bed came from?

"I designed this after the popular ON sofa bed. I received feedback from customers asking if I could design a sofa bed with a different design language using the same principle. I took up the challenge. The end result was a sofa bed that worked in the same way as its 'ancestor', but with more wood, was more angular and therefore had a completely different spirit."

"I'm a child of the 70s and was inspired by the simple and clean wooden daybeds of the time. Like the ON -sofa bed, the design was guided by two separate beds, a high quality mattress and bedding in the the back cushions. The whole design hides many things, but looks simple. It took a lot of experimentation and prototyping."

Because of its lightness and simplicity, the sofa bed works well in small spaces. Our customers have used sofa beds in guest rooms, study rooms, secondary residences, sauna cabins, living rooms and studio apartments, but also in the living rooms of large apartments. Its characteristics make it particularly suitable for relaxed lounging and, of course, for accommodating guests.

A story behind the Day&Night sofa bed

"We presented the sofa bed at Habitare back in the day and it was voted the best sofa by international journalists. When they brought the certificate of honour to our stand, we discovered that they didn't know the sofa was a sofa bed. We lifted the top section to make a bed and took the bedding out of the back cushions. It was a positive shock - they said, "This is even better!"

Manufacturing the Day&Night sofa bed

We have the wood and upholstery parts of the sofa bed made by two different contract manufacturers in Estonia, both carefully curated. The method is a combination of serial production and craftsmanship. Machines are needed to make the wooden parts, but the finishing is a collaboration between the human eye and hand. All the upholstery is handmade. To guarantee quality, our manufacturer makes all the bedding in-house.

The sofa bed has been awarded three international design awards. The juries were impressed not only by the simplicity and uniqueness of the design, but also by the innovative concept. The sofa bed works without mechanisms and has many features, but does not look like a sofa bed.

Vuodesohva on kodissamme ilahduttamassa arkea. Ihana sohva muotoilultaan ja toiminnallisuudeltaan, jota myös vieraat ovat kehuneet. Yöunia siinä ei ole vielä nukuttu, mutta päiväunet ovat olleet mitä parhaimmat.

Kiitos myös TAC:n asiakaspalvelulle. Tuotannossa tapahtuneen virheen johdosta jouduimme reklamoimaan. Tilanne hoidettiin ammattitaidolla ja tyylikkäästi.

Sittemmin myös Aski kokoa M saapui kotiimme, näppärä sivupöytä ja säilytyslaatikko jota on helppo siirrellä tarvittaessa.

Todella kaunis, ajaton design mutta ennen kaikkea aivan älyttömän mukava nukkua. Vuodesohva on ollut meillä jo pari vuotta vierassänkynä ja joka ikinen meillä majoittunut on kehunut jälkikäteen sen mukavuutta. Voimme suositella sohvaa kyllä aivan kaikille.

Lisäpisteitä täytyy antaa myös Tapio Anttilan asiakaspalvelulle. Sohvasta oli yksi pohjasäle alkanut haljeta oksan kohdalta, mutta tilanne hoidettiin ensiluokkaisesti ja nyt sohva kestää ja säilyy meillä varmasti pitkälle tulevaisuuteen.

Jag är väldigt nöjd. Läste på noggrant före köpet och den motsvarade alla förväntningar. Stabil och rejäl stomme, skönt och "varmt" tyg och madrassen har hög komfort och jag tycker den är jättevacker i sin enkla form!
