Description

The Day&Night armrests add comfort and a finished look to the sofa and sofa bed. Made of solid oak, the armrest blends beautifully into the frame of the sofa, giving it a more traditional sofa-like look.

As well as being a stylish accessory, the armrest makes it easier to open the sofa into a bed by acting as a sturdy handle that you can easily grip. It also provides support for your pillow when you want to rest on the sofa without having to convert it into a bed.

You can attach the armrests to both ends or just one end, depending on the look and comfort you want for your sofa. The attachment is completely concealed, so if you want to change the look of your interior later and remove the armrests, the sofa retains its sleek look with no visible holes.

Where the idea for came from?

"We received feedback from our customer that he used to read or take a nap on the Day&Night -sofa bed lying on his back. The problem was that sometimes the cushion would fall from the end of the bed to the floor. We promised to find a solution to this problem"

Designing the

"The simple armrest is designed as an accessory that can be added to the sofa bed afterwards. The armrest is symmetrical, which means that the same one will fit at both ends. It can be used at one end only, depending on the situation, if for some reason you want to keep the other end open. The sofa then becomes a bit like a daybed."

Manufacturing the

We have the armrest made by our contract manufacturer. The method is a combination of serial production and craftsmanship. Machines are needed to make the wooden parts, but the finishing is a collaboration between the human eye and hand.
