Description

The Day&Night sofa bed is designed to adapt to different situations in your life. Its innovative design combines a sofa, double bed and two single beds in one piece of furniture that is perfect for the living room, guest room or holiday home.

During the day, the sofa takes up little space and offers a stylish seating area. At night, it easily converts into a spacious double bed (180 x 200 cm) or two single beds (90 x 200 cm), providing comfort for every sleeper. The visco-elastic mattresses mould to the body for excellent sitting and sleeping comfort.

Hidden inside the back cushions is the perfect bedding storage solution - four sleeping pillows, two duvets and two mattress protectors are included in the price. So you're always ready for unexpected overnight guests without the need for separate bedding storage.

The sofa has removable covers for easy maintenance. The durable Hopper fabric is suitable for active use and has an abrasion resistance of up to 100,000 Martindale. Available in two timelessly stylish colour options: beige and dark grey.

Optional armrests are available which can be attached to both ends or just one end to suit your needs.

Where the idea for Day&Night sofa bed came from?

"I designed this after the popular ON sofa bed. I received feedback from customers asking if I could design a sofa bed with a different design language using the same principle. I took up the challenge. The end result was a sofa bed that worked in the same way as its 'ancestor', but with more wood, was more angular and therefore had a completely different spirit."

"I'm a child of the 70s and was inspired by the simple and clean wooden daybeds of the time. Like the ON -sofa bed, the design was guided by two separate beds, a high quality mattress and bedding in the the back cushions. The whole design hides many things, but looks simple. It took a lot of experimentation and prototyping."

Because of its lightness and simplicity, the sofa bed works well in small spaces. Our customers have used sofa beds in guest rooms, study rooms, secondary residences, sauna cabins, living rooms and studio apartments, but also in the living rooms of large apartments. Its characteristics make it particularly suitable for relaxed lounging and, of course, for accommodating guests.

A story behind the Day&Night sofa bed

"We presented the sofa bed at Habitare back in the day and it was voted thebest sofa by international journalists. When they brought the certificate of honour to our stand, we discovered that they didn't know the sofa was a sofa bed. We lifted the top section to make a bed and took the bedding out of the back cushions. It was a positive shock - they said, "This is even better!"

Manufacturing the Day&Night sofa bed

We have the wood and upholstery parts of the sofa bed made by two different contract manufacturers. The method is a combination of serial production and craftsmanship. Machines are needed to make the wooden parts, but the finishing is a collaboration between the human eye and hand. All the upholstery is handmade. To guarantee quality, our manufacturer makes all the bedding in-house.

Day & Night vuodesohja

Olin etsinyt kauan sopivaa vuodesohvaa kotiimme. Tämä vuodesohva oli meille sopiva: se on korkealaatuinen, käytännöllinen ja riittävän suuri (2x 90 cm) vieraillemme. Lisäksi arvostan sen kotimaisuutta (ainakin suunnittelua). Mietin patjan riittävää pehmeyttä, mutta ainakin omalla kohdallani patja oli sopiva eikä liian kova.

The design is truly beautiful — elegant, timeless, and extremely well crafted. It reminds me of the iconic Artek Daybed 710, but with even more functionality and versatility.

Jag är väldigt nöjd. Läste på noggrant före köpet och den motsvarade alla förväntningar. Stabil och rejäl stomme, skönt och "varmt" tyg och madrassen har hög komfort och jag tycker den är jättevacker i sin enkla form!
