Description

The Aski XL pendant brings soft, pleasant lighting to the space, which completes the interior and creates an inviting atmosphere. The white birch plywood emphasises the lightness of the lamp and gives the room a fresh and timeless look.

The simple design makes the lamp versatile - perfect over the dining table, in the living room or bedroom, where it serves as both a practical light source and a decorative element. With a round diameter of 48 cm, the lamp can be used alone or in together with the Aski M pendant lamp.

The dimmable LED light allows you to adjust the atmosphere as required, and the long-life light source ensures durability for years to come.

The Aski XL pendant completes the space and brings timeless style and natural light to the interior.

Where the idea for Aski XL pendant light came from?

"The Aski range of storage units and coffee tables that I made earlier proved very popular. We extended the range with wall shelves and a mirror, using all the components in a criss-cross fashion. Then I wondered if I could make a lamp out of it."

"I didn't think it would be possible to create more products from this theme, but it worked and in the end it was quite easy. The dimensions of the parts came pretty much from the wall furniture, and we spent some time researching the details and lighting components. After that, prototypes, a few modifications and the job was done. already known from other Aski furniture, was used to give the lights an original look."

"The range is quite extensive with its three colour options. It offers lighting solutions for every room in the home, whether it's a pendant, a wall light or a ceiling light. They also have a particularly soft light that creates a cosy and warm atmosphere without glare. Wooden lamps are also fun decorative elements during the day, even without light."

A story behind the Aski XL pendant light

"We had a section at the Habitare design fair, which we called Kimppakämppä. Some guy came up and told us he was our namesake - so his surname was Kimppa. It turned out that they also had a section where they showed their hat boxes made in the traditional Finnish way. We went to see them and I immediately asked if they could start making us something out of those. The journey of the popular Aski range had begun."

"You can easily order this pendant light from our online shop and it will be delivered to your home free of charge. The entire Aski range comes in three colour options: birch, black or white. Manufacturing the Aski XL pendant light

The pendant light is made by our contract manufacturer. This is the same manufacturer who has been making traditional Finnish hat boxes in Ostrobothnia since the 1950s. The production is entirely handmade, where straight birch plywood is bent into round boxes.
