The shelf is delivered ready to use in one package
Installation
Tools needed: screwdriver (cordless screwdriver for easy installation)
Mounted to the wall with a single screw using a keyhole mounting plate
Make sure that the wall material can support the weight of the shelf and the objects to be placed on it
Care and maintenance
Regular maintenance:
Wipe the surface of the product regularly with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust and dirt.
Stain removal:
Remove stains immediately using a mild soap solution and a soft cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or tools that can damage the surface. Do not leave the surface wet.
Colour changes:
Birch is a natural material that can darken over time with exposure to light. This is part of the natural ageing process of the wood.

Stock items are usually delivered in Finland within 5-12 working days after ordering. For other countries, the delivery time is usually 2-4 weeks. The exact delivery time depends on the delivery address and any additional services. Some products are shipped directly from the manufacturer, which may affect the delivery time. If you order several different products, they may arrive as separate shipments.
We aim to keep the delivery times on our product pages up to date, but we reserve the right to make changes. If you wish, you can ask our customer service for more precise delivery times.
Delivery options
Finland Small items are delivered to the nearest pick-up point (Posti, Postnord or Matkahuolto) or home delivery, according to your choice. Larger furniture is always delivered to your front door, which means your front door or, for apartment buildings, the front door of the building. Depending on your postcode area, you can choose additional services such as carried-in and unpacking.
Other countries All products are delivered to the home yard (the front door of your home or the front door of an apartment building).
Receiving the delivery Always check the condition of the product and the package when you receive it and make sure that you receive the product and the package in good condition. Any damage in transit should be reported to us immediately by e-mail. Please include photos of the damage. If the shipment is delivered by home delivery, ask the delivery service representative to note down any visible damage.
Return conditions You have the right to return your purchase within 14 days of receiving it. We will refund the payment for a faultless and unused product within 14 days of receiving the returned product.
Please note that the cost of returning a non-defective product will be charged to the customer. The product to be returned must be in its original packaging and in perfect condition to be sold. The packaging may be opened for inspection, but we will not be liable for any damage caused by careless opening of the packaging.

Reklamations If there is a fault in the product, please contact us immediately by email. Please include photos clearly showing the defect and the product as a whole. Our priority is to correct the defect or provide a spare part. If the defect cannot be repaired, we will replace the product with a new one.

Where the idea for Aski L shelf came from?
"The Aski range of side and coffee tables I made earlier proved popular. We started to think about how we could develop the unique design further, and vary it with new furniture to expand the range. We did some exploring to see what we could get out of it and pretty quickly decided to expand into affordable wall furniture."

Designing the Aski L shelf
"I wondered how I could utilise the same parts of our previous floor furniture, which were based on the old hat box manufacturing techniques. Pretty quickly a round wall shelf and cabinet started to take shape, with the diameter dimension coming directly from the M size side table, and a mirror based on an XL side table. These were easy to prototype because the raw parts were already there."

Aski L shelf in use
"The wall shelf and the cabinet became fun because they were different from what was available. They are interior design elements in themselves, which stand out in a room even without any items. A typical use is certainly to store the most valuable treasures, which are framed in a home altar-like frame. But why not as a everyday object, for example in the hallway. The mirror is clearly a practical object, but it makes even the most boring space more fun."

A story behind the Aski L shelf
"We had a section at the Habitare design fair, which we called Kimppakämppä. Some guy came up and told us he was our namesake - so his surname was Kimppa. It turned out that they also had a section where they showed their hat boxes made in the traditional Finnish way. We went to see them and I immediately asked if they could start making us something out of those. The journey of the popular Aski range had begun."

"You can easily order this wall shelf from our online shop and have it delivered to your home free of charge. The entire Aski range comes in three colour options: birch, black or white. We aim to keep this wall shelf in stock at all times, so delivery is quick. If you have any questions about delivery or anything else, please send us an email or give us a call."

Manufacturing the Aski L shelf
The wall shelf is made by our contract manufacturer. This is the same manufacturer who has been making traditional Finnish hat boxes in Ostrobothnia since the 1950s. The production is entirely handmade, where straight birch plywood is bent into round boxes.
