Delivery
Delivered preassembled in one package
Installation
Remember to switch off the power supply before starting the installation
Tools required: Phillips screwdriver, hex key
Attach the provided adapter to the desired location
Attach the shade base to the adapter and make sure it is securely attached
Attach the shade cover to the base using the lamp's leather straps and fixing screws
Check that all parts of the lamp are securely in place
Care and maintenance
Cleaning:
Wipe the shade regularly with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust.
Replacing the LED unit:
The LED unit of the lamp can only be replaced by a professional. The lampshade can be opened without tools and the LED unit is fixed to the lampshade with screws. If necessary, please contact us for further instructions.
Colour changes:
Birch is a natural material that can darken over time when exposed to light. This is part of the natural ageing process of wood.
General instructions:
Make sure that the pendant light and its components remain intact and that the light is properly installed.

Stock items are usually delivered in Finland within 5-12 working days after ordering. For other countries, the delivery time is usually 2-4 weeks. The exact delivery time depends on the delivery address and any additional services. Some products are shipped directly from the manufacturer, which may affect the delivery time. If you order several different products, they may arrive as separate shipments.
We aim to keep the delivery times on our product pages up to date, but we reserve the right to make changes. If you wish, you can ask our customer service for more precise delivery times.
Delivery options
Finland Small items are delivered to the nearest pick-up point (Posti, Postnord or Matkahuolto) or home delivery, according to your choice. Larger furniture is always delivered to your front door, which means your front door or, for apartment buildings, the front door of the building. Depending on your postcode area, you can choose additional services such as carried-in and unpacking.
Other countries All products are delivered to the home yard (the front door of your home or the front door of an apartment building).
Receiving the delivery Always check the condition of the product and the package when you receive it and make sure that you receive the product and the package in good condition. Any damage in transit should be reported to us immediately by e-mail. Please include photos of the damage. If the shipment is delivered by home delivery, ask the delivery service representative to note down any visible damage.
Return conditions You have the right to return your purchase within 14 days of receiving it. We will refund the payment for a faultless and unused product within 14 days of receiving the returned product.
Please note that the cost of returning a non-defective product will be charged to the customer. The product to be returned must be in its original packaging and in perfect condition to be sold. The packaging may be opened for inspection, but we will not be liable for any damage caused by careless opening of the packaging.

Reklamations If there is a fault in the product, please contact us immediately by email. Please include photos clearly showing the defect and the product as a whole. Our priority is to correct the defect or provide a spare part. If the defect cannot be repaired, we will replace the product with a new one.

Where the idea for Aski XL plafond came from?
"The Aski range of storage units and coffee tables that I made earlier proved very popular. We extended the range with wall shelves and a mirror, using all the components in a criss-cross fashion. Then I wondered if I could make a lamp out of it."

Designing the Aski XL plafond
"I didn't think it would be possible to create more products from this theme, but it worked and in the end it was quite easy. The dimensions of the parts came pretty much from the wall furniture, and we spent some time researching the details and lighting components. After that, prototypes, a few modifications and the job was done. already known from other Aski furniture, was used to give the lights an original look."

A story behind the Aski XL plafond
"We had a section at the Habitare design fair, which we called Kimppakämppä. Some guy came up and told us he was our namesake - so his surname was Kimppa. It turned out that they also had a section where they showed their hat boxes made in the traditional Finnish way. We went to see them and I immediately asked if they could start making us something out of those. The journey of the popular Aski range had begun."

"You can easily order this plafond from our online shop and it will be delivered to your home free of charge. The entire Aski range comes in three colour options: birch, black or white. We aim to keep this plafond in stock at all times, so delivery is quick. If you have any questions about delivery or anything else, please send us an email or give us a call."

Manufacturing the Aski XL plafond
The plafond is made by our contract manufacturer. This is the same manufacturer who has been making traditional Finnish hat boxes in Ostrobothnia since the 1950s. The production is entirely handmade, where straight birch plywood is bent into round boxes.
