Care and maintenance
Regular maintenance:
Vacuum regularly with a textile vacuum cleaner and air the upholstery
outdoors.
Stain removal:
Remove stains as soon as possible with a clean, dry or damp cloth. Avoid excessive rubbing. If the stain is difficult to remove, the upholstery can be taken to the dry cleaner and washed according to the washing instructions.
Colour changes:
Wooden parts may darken over time due to exposure to light.
Other points to consider:
If the upholstery loses its fluffiness, fluff generously to restore the fluffiness of the down.

Stock items are usually delivered in Finland within 5-12 working days after ordering. For other countries, the delivery time is usually 2-4 weeks. The exact delivery time depends on the delivery address and any additional services. Some products are shipped directly from the manufacturer, which may affect the delivery time. If you order several different products, they may arrive as separate shipments.
We aim to keep the delivery times on our product pages up to date, but we reserve the right to make changes. If you wish, you can ask our customer service for more precise delivery times.
Delivery options
Finland Small items are delivered to the nearest pick-up point (Posti, Postnord or Matkahuolto) or home delivery, according to your choice. Larger furniture is always delivered to your front door, which means your front door or, for apartment buildings, the front door of the building. Depending on your postcode area, you can choose additional services such as carried-in and unpacking.
Other countries All products are delivered to the home yard (the front door of your home or the front door of an apartment building).
Receiving the delivery Always check the condition of the product and the package when you receive it and make sure that you receive the product and the package in good condition. Any damage in transit should be reported to us immediately by e-mail. Please include photos of the damage. If the shipment is delivered by home delivery, ask the delivery service representative to note down any visible damage.
Return conditions You have the right to return your purchase within 14 days of receiving it. We will refund the payment for a faultless and unused product within 14 days of receiving the returned product.
Please note that the cost of returning a non-defective product will be charged to the customer. The product to be returned must be in its original packaging and in perfect condition to be sold. The packaging may be opened for inspection, but we will not be liable for any damage caused by careless opening of the packaging.
If you wish to return the product, please contact our customer service department by email for further instructions.
Reklamations If there is a fault in the product, please contact us immediately by email. Please include photos clearly showing the defect and the product as a whole. Our priority is to correct the defect or provide a spare part. If the defect cannot be repaired, we will replace the product with a new one.

"We want to offer our customers complete interior solutions and our collection was missing an easy chair. It should have the characteristics of a plush lounge chair, but it shouldn't look like one. It should be original and fit in with our way of thinking and the rest of our collection. That was a clear design brief for Tapio."

Designing the Filtti L easy chair
"Comfort and lightness are not usually friends when designing an easy chair. The solution to this dilemma was found in a moulded recycled felt. It allowed me to shape the frame into a lightweight nest, in which the loose woollen upholstery sits. The whole thing sits on a lightweight wooden frame. I came up with the idea of using a rolled wool blanket as a headrest, which added to the atmosphere I was going for. The blanket also makes it easy to wrap up in a moment of need."

A story behind the Filtti L easy chair
"This has been by far my most difficult design project. All the parts come from different manufacturers and getting them to work together was a nightmare at times. If we changed one prototype, we had to change all the parts again for the next one. There were a lot of prototypes, which meant a lot of time and tempers were running high. When the first customers sat in the chair they said it was so comfortable they didn't want to get out. It wiped out all the adversity."

Manufacturing the Filtti L easy chair
All armchair parts and materials come from different factories from our contract manufacturers. The recycled wool parts are highly automated serial production. Machines are needed to make the wooden parts, but the finishing is a collaboration between the human eye and hand. The upholstery and the actual assembly of the armchair are entirely handiwork.
The chair has won two international design awards. The chair combines lightness, comfort, warmth and cosiness. These were the arguments that won over the international juries, in addition to the new design.
The Prize Designs for Modern Furniture + Lighting award is a new recognition for designers around the world, which is awarded for products made during a career. It has been a design award originally founded in 1949 by the Museum of Modern Art (MoMa), which was relaunched seven decades later by Global Design News and the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design. The international jyry annually selects award-winning furniture and lamps in various series from among numerous international products.
The award ceremony and exhibition is organized annually in Athens by the European Center for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. A book is also printed about the award-winning products every year.
The GOOD DESIGN Award is the world's oldest and most prestigious design award, founded in 1950 by architects Eero Saarinen, Charles and Ray Eames and Edgar Kaufmann, Jr. and The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design. The purpose is to find and reward the best design from around the world every year. This coveted prize is awarded annually by an international jury appointed by the museum, which selects the award-winning products from among thousands of designers and brands in different product categories.
Every year, the museum prints a book and organizes an exhibition of the award-winning products.
